Confinement and a journey to Suez and the East (445.6k)
In 1951, after studies at the French Air Force I embarked on a ship for a trip from Marseilles in France to Saigon. This journey was mainly a confinement experience, as most of the times we could not disembark at the Ports of call. Here is the story as from my memory and notes. Here is a summary of the latest theories which also hold some surprising elements about the migrations which led Homo Sapiens to the Far East. I have also appended to this article two links to films of personal trips in the Xinjiang, the Far West of China, and through Mongolia and the Gobi Desert, as both regions played an important role in those past migrations to the Far East.
