We have the painful duty to inform you of the passing away of our longstanding and valued colleague Hedi KRAUER. After a long illness Hedi died on May 10, 2021 in a peaceful sleep at the age of 90 years and 2 months.

Hedi was hired as telex-operator by K.S. Molenaar when SITA Zurich was inaugurated in 1951 at ZRH airport in the old and leaking military hut. 42 years later, in 1993 and at the age of 62 years, also after having worked her way up from telex-operator to SITA representative for Switzerland, Hedi went into well-deserved retirement after a very interesting and eventful career: During Hedi’s activity, the ZRH SITA-Center has moved and was reopened four times at a new location. Hedi also got to know and worked for four different Regional Directors: K.S. Molenaar, Rudi Bebie and Heinz Gerber. We will keep an honorable memory of our esteemed colleague Hedi Krauer.
